Approving the Mayor's appointments of Lori Greene and Johnathan Nguyen to the Cultural STAR Board.
Body
WHEREAS, RES 94-1005 and RES 13-690 state that the Cultural STAR Board shall consist of nine members with two from a large cultural organization, two from a medium-sized cultural organization, one from a small cultural organization, one from a philanthropic organization, one from a Saint Paul business, and two at large members; and
WHEREAS, RES 94-1005 and RES 13-690 state that at least four members of the Cultural STAR Board must be residents of Saint Paul, with the rest living and working in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Lori Greene and Johnathan Nguyen have applied for appointment on the Cultural STAR Board; and
WHEREAS, Lori Greene, Owner of Mosaic on a Stick, an arts-based business, represents a Saint Paul Business; and
WHEREAS, Johnathan Nguyen, a Saint Paul resident and current Treasurer and Board Member of the Vietnam Center, meets the requirements to serve as an At-Large Resident Representative; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Lori Greene and Johnathan Nguyen to a three-year term on the Cultural STAR Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Lori Greene and Johnathan Nguyen to a three-year appointment to the Cultural STAR Board with terms ending December 31, 2025.
