Title

Preliminary Order setting the date of Public Hearing for January 11, 2023, to consider approval of the Metro Transit 10-mile Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit project. The only special assessments will be for private sanitary sewer service repairs or replacements requested by property owners. (Project No. 19252C, Assessment No. 226001)

 

Body

In the Matter of approving all necessary work for the Metro Transit 10-mile Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit project to connect people across the region to job centers, housing options, transit stations and key destinations in the Interstate 94 corridor. The planned 10-mile BRT line will connect St. Paul, Maplewood, Landfall, Oakdale, and Woodbury generally along I-94.  The only special assessments will be for private sanitary sewer service repairs or replacements requested by property owners.

 

The Council of the City of Saint Paul, having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement and having considered said report, hereby resolves:

 

1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $166,000, financed by Saint Paul Sewer Utility and Assessments.

 

2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 11th day of January, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.

 

3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
