Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for up to $10,000 from Capitol Region Watershed District to support the BIPOC Parks Ambassadors Program, and if awarded, accept said grant.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul performs significant services for residents of the Metropolitan area and all Minnesota residents through its ownership and operation of its parks, trails, and amenities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for, and if awarded, accept up to $10,000 in grant funds from the Capitol Region Watershed District to support the BIPOC Parks Ambassadors Program; and
WHEREAS, grant funds would allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide quality Outdoor Education programming to Saint Paul residents; and
WHEREAS, there is no match required of these funds by the City and other supporting agencies of the BIPOC Parks Ambassadors Program; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Department of Parks and
Recreation to apply for said Capitol Region Watershed District grant, and if awarded, accept said grant.
