Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of a disc golf course, valued at $5,000, for Hillcrest Knoll Park, donated by Tony Kutzke with supporting donations from the White Bear Avenue Business Association, Vinez Benefits Group and All Metro Construction Services Inc.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation develops and maintains sites for outdoor recreation of all types throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, Tony Kutzke and supporting donors wish to donate a disc golf course to Hillcrest Knoll Park to enhance disc golf play, located in Ward 6; and
WHEREAS, Tony Kutzke has received support from Great Eastside Community Council; and
WHEREAS, the donation, if accepted, will allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to add disc golf site furnishings at Hillcrest Knoll Park as identified in the current for the site in the Saint Paul Park and Recreation System Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept the donation of said site furnishings; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby requested to approve the acceptance of a disc golf course and recognize the effort and commitment of Tony Kutzke and supporting donors for their contribution to the City; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of said equipment at Hillcrest Knoll Park and thanks Tony Kutzke and supporting donors for their generous gift.
