Preliminary Order setting the date of a public hearing for July 13th, 2022 to consider the construction of the Capital City Bikeway project and acquisition of necessary property rights.

IN THE MATTER OF constructing the Capital City Bikeway Project, including a bicycle trail, traffic lanes, public utility work, parking lanes, street lighting, trees, signs, concrete sidewalks, and acquisition of temporary construction easements needed to facilitate construction of the improvements.
The improvements and temporary construction easements are depicted in Exhibits A1-A3 attached hereto.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received and considered the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, attached hereto as Exhibit B, hereby resolves:
1. That said report is hereby approved, with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost and financing of the improvements is $7,812,000.
2. That a public hearing be held on said improvement on the 13th day of July, 2022, at 3:30 o’clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That the notice of the public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of the hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
Funding for the project and acquisition of property rights is budgeted in the 2022 Capital Improvement Budget. Financing is comprised of a Federal Regional Solicitation Grant and Municipal State Aid funds.
