Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for up to $2,500 from Midwest Arts Grow, Invest, Gather (GIG) Fund, which includes a 100% match requirement, to support the Dayton’s Bluff Performance Art project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul performs significant services for residents of the Metropolitan area and all Minnesota residents through its ownership and operation of its parks, trails, and amenities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for, and if awarded, accept $2,500 in grant funds from the Midwest Arts Grow, Invest, Gather (GIG) Fund to support the Dayton’s Bluff Performance Art project; and
WHEREAS, grant funds would allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide quality performance art opportunities to Saint Paul youth; and
WHEREAS, there is a 100% amount match required of these funds which will be met by existing Parks and Recreation Special Funds for the Dayton’s Bluff Performance Art project; and
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Department of Parks and
Recreation to apply for said grant from Midwest Arts Grow, Invest, Gather (GIG) Fund.
