Accepting the gift of travel expenses, lodging, and conference costs, not to exceed $1400, from the Minnesota Chapter of WTS International for City staff to attend the 2022 WTS International Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington.

WHEREAS, the WTS International Annual Conference will be held on May 18-20, 2022, in Seattle, Washington; and,
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Chapter of WTS International has graciously offered financial assistance to the City of Saint Paul staff to attend by providing reimbursement for conference registrations as well as lodging and travel expenses not to exceed $1400 for selected participants; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works intends to send Anna Potter to the conference due to her involvement in city planning and transportation policy efforts; and
WHEREAS, the conference and exhibition provide the transportation and city planning industry with best practices tailored to urban areas such as Saint Paul; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at this conference will be beneficial to the City by providing staff with opportunities to interact with leading urban professionals from peer cities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of travel expenses, lodging and conference registration from the Minnesota Chapter of WTS International and thanks them for their generous gift.
