Authorizing the Police Department to amend the 2022 Special Fund Budget to add the 2021 COPS LEMHWA grant.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department has been awarded the 2021 COPS LEMHWA grant from the U.S. Department of Justice distributed through the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program, via the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act (LEMHWA) grant in the amount of $125,000 that was accepted with RES PH 21-336; and
WHERAS, the 2022 special fund budget need to be amended to add the AU for this grant: and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that these funds should increase the Police Department Special Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
