Amending the 2021 spending budgets for the Public Works Traffic Building and the Grant Fund related to the LED electrical retrofit.
Body
WHEREAS, Seventhwave has provided a complete lighting retrofit along with the associated controls to the Public Works Traffic Building; and
WHEREAS, Seventhwave has paid the City of Saint Paul $36,525, amounting to $2,025 beyond the original $34,500 budgeted to offset a portion of the retrofit charge; and
WHEREAS, Xcel Energy has paid the City of Saint Paul $6,563, amounting to $8,937 less than the original $15,500 budgeted in rebates as an energy efficiency incentive; and
WHEREAS, this technology to date has and will continue to reduce the heating, cooling, and fan energy costs within the traffic building; and
WHEREAS, Xcel Energy has performed post-installation energy testing and determined that the cost-effectiveness of the retrofit did not meet the standards required for the full reimbursement, and Xcel Energy reserves the right to adjust the rebate amount based on projection changes; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds to reallocate a net total of $6,912 of the Grant Fund; now therefore be it:
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that a total of $6,912 is available for appropriation, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
