Authorizing the City to enter into a lease agreement and management agreement with Your Boat Club, LLC for use and management of Watergate Marina.

WHEREAS, City released an RFP for the management of Watergate Marina in July 2021 and through that process has identified Your Boat Club as its preferred partner; and
WHEREAS, the current contracted partner’s agreement expires on December, 31 2021 and Your Boat Club is prepared to assume operations on January 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the combination of a lease and management agreement takes into account the City’s desire to establish a River Learning Center facility in Crosby Farms Regional Park as part of it’s Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Parks and Recreation Commission occurred on November 18, 2021 and that entity recommended approval of both agreements with Your Boat Club; Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the appropriate City officials to enter into the attached Lease Agreement and Management Agreement.
