Authorizing the City to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County for sidewalk construction on McKnight Road between Mailand Road and Londin Lane.

WHEREAS, the City plans to construct sidewalks on McKnight Road (County State Aid Highway 268) between Mailand Road and Londin Lane; and
WHEREAS, the County and the City agree to each fund 50% of the Project cost; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2021-05 defines the engineering, administrative, cost participation, ownership and maintenance responsibilities of Ramsey County and the City of Saint Paul for implementation of the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement contains a mutual indemnification provision, which the Council finds reasonable and necessary to effectuate the sidewalk construction; and
WHEREAS, the work will be performed under the master contract awarded at the conclusion of the City's bid event 1003; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PUBW 2021-05, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
