Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into an agreement with McGough for tower crane operator training that includes indemnification language.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department would like to enter into an Equipment User Agreement with McGough for tower crane operator training that includes indemnification language; and

 

WHEREAS, McGough has offered the Saint Paul Fire Department the opportunity to perform tower crane rescue training at the Gillette Children's Hospital construction site located on the northeast corner of Jackson Street and University; and

 

WHEREAS, the training is scheduled for September 28, 2021 would involve the simulated rescue of a crane operator from the cab of the crane; and

 

WHEREAS, there is no cost to the city for this valuable high-level, low-frequency hands-on technical rescue training; and

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement, which includes an indemnification clause; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Fire Department.
