Modifying Residential Permit Parking Area 8 time restrictions on the west side of Asbury Street from Iglehart Avenue to the alley south of Concordia Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, Chapter 164 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code guides the formation and modification of residential permit parking areas; and
WHEREAS, Resolution Number 18-172 established residential permit parking Area 8 and established the types, limits, and fees for permits in all residential permit parking areas; and
WHEREAS, Resolution Number 19-191 modified residential permit parking Area 8; and
WHEREAS, Section 164.13 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code allows for the traffic engineer to initiate minor changes to a residential parking area to be approved by council by resolution without a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, a request by businesses adjacent to the area has been submitted to Public Works; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff has investigated the basis for the request to modify time restrictions on the west side of Asbury Street in Area 8 and recommended adoption of the request changes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the residential permit parking Area 8 will be modified and posted "No Parking 6 PM to 6AM Except by Permit" on the streets defined below and on the attached map:
• West side of Asbury Avenue from Iglehart Avenue to the alley south of Concordia Avenue
AND, BE IT RESOLVED, that the effective date of these parking regulations shall be in effect 30 days after City Council approval or as soon thereafter as signs are erected.
