Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of a floating dock from Lake Phalen Community Rowing, a Minnesota nonprofit organization, which provides free instruction to youth.
Body
WHEREAS, the donated dock will be placed at the Lake Phalen public boat launch for use by nonprofit organizations and the public at large; and
WHEREAS, Lake Phalen Community Rowing will generously pay the approximate $20,000 purchase price of the dock; and
WHEREAS, the dock should serve many different park users and will be an added amenity; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of a floating dock from Lake Phalen Community Rowing and thanks them for the generous gift.
