Ja Kenny Martin appeared.

Inspector Essling reported that the assessment for 630 Orleans Street was for failure to remove snow from the public sidewalk.  The letter was mailed December 29, 2010 with a compliance date of Januay 2, 2011.  It was re-inspected January 3, 2011 and found to be in noncompliance.  The Work Order was sent to Parks and the work was done January 10, 2011 at a cost of $160 plus a service charge of $140 for a total of $300.  The letter was sent to Ja Martin, Gonzalas, LA and Occupant.  There's a twelve (12) day interim between when the letter was mailed and the day the work was done.

Ms. Martin stated that they had hired someone who was supposed to shovel snow for them while they were out of state.  The hire stated that she was unable to come to shovel after the big snow fall because the streets weren't clear.  She lives on Rice Street.

The video was viewed and showed the City had done the work.

Mr. Essling noted that the big storm took place on December 11, 2010.

Ms. Moermond stated that the video showed no one had even tried to shovel.  It was an unshoveled sidewalk for a very long period of time.  She will recommend that the assessment be approved.
