Approving the Mayor’s appointment of Brian Martinson to a three-year term on the Board of Zoning Appeals.

WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 61.203 states that the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) consists of nine (9) members (seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members) appointed by the mayor with the consent of the council; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Zoning Appeals holds public hearings on administrative appeals and for minor and major zoning variances; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 61.203 requires that one member of the Board of Zoning Appeals be a current member of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, Brian Martinson is a member of the Planning Commission and has applied to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals; and
WHEREAS Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Brian Martinson to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a three-year term ending on April 30, 2027, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Brian Martinson to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a term ending on April 30, 2027, as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals.
