Purpose of Appeal: We leased this unit as a 7 bedroom 2 bath unit. We were told 2 rooms could not be bedrooms. The inspector made conclusions not based on facts. We are all related in the unit.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Staff accepted this application as it was within 10 days, but the reinspection had already happened. Later, the Legislative Hearing Officer said that the handwritten report dated 10/23/23 could be accepted as the order to be appealed.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Jason Overs to a Correction Notice-Complaint Inspection at 950 ARKWRIGHT STREET, UNIT 2, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to November 21, 2023 for compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
