Approving the Mayor’s re-appointment of Amy Brendmoen, John Marshall, Don Mullin, and Rebecca Noecker to the Saint Paul Port Authority.

Body

WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute 469.050 (Subdivision 1) states that the Saint Paul Port Authority consists of seven (7) commissioners, two of whom must be members of the Saint Paul City Council, appointed by the Mayor to a term of six years with the consent of the Council; and

 

WHEREAS, the term for Amy Brendmoen, John Marshall, Don Mullin, and Rebecca Noecker expired on July 31, 2023, and

 

WHEREAS, Amy Brendmoen and Rebecca Noecker are members of the Saint Paul City Council serving in the seats reserved for members of the city council, and

 

WHEREAS, the current term of office for Amy Brendmoen and Rebecca Noecker as members of the Saint Paul City Council ends on December 31, 2023, and

 

WHEREAS, Amy Brendmoen, John Marshall, Don Mullin, and Rebecca Noecker have expressed interest in continuing to serve as a commissioners on the Saint Paul Port Authority; and

 

WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to reappoint Amy Brendmoen, John Marshall, Don Mullin, and Rebecca Noecker to the Saint Paul Port Authority; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves Mayor Carter’s reappointment of Amy Brendmoen and Rebecca Noecker as commissioners of the Saint Paul Port Authority to a partial term ending December 31, 2023, and be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves of Mayor Carter’s reappointment of John Marshall and Don Mullin as commissioners of the Saint Paul Port Authority to a full six-year term ending July 31, 2029.
