Authorizing the Fire Department to apply for a $32,112.50 grant through the Fire House Subs Public Safety Foundation for the purchase of fire hydrant valves.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department seeks to protect the life and property of the residents of Saint Paul with the purchase of 4” and 2” fire hydrant valves; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has identified replacement valves as an area of need to maintain a safe and reliable flow of water; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is eligible to apply for the grant through the Fire House Subs Public Safety Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of the grant is $32,112.50 for the fire hydrant valves; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the City Council authorizes the Fire Department to apply for the Firehouse Subs Grant.
