Authorizing the City to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Ramsey County for the Trunk Highway (TH) 5 Project from Mendota Street to TH 120.
Body
WHEREAS, MnDOT has a project on TH 5 from Mendota Street to TH 120; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT will perform storm sewer, ADA improvements, lighting and signal system construction as a part of this project; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to participate in the cost and furnish materials as outlined in the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City received Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Federal-aid funds for this construction which will be used to cover the federally eligible portion of the City’s signal system construction costs; and
WHEREAS, the City’s cost share is budgeted in the 2023 TH 5 Mill and Overlay from Arcade to 120 Project and the HSIP funding is budgeted in the 2023 Minnehaha Traffic Signals Project; and
WHEREAS, the City’s maintenance responsibilities are defined in the agreement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement No.1052411 with the State of Minnesota and Ramsey County, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and, be it finally
RESOLVED that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
