Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for costs incurred to host a collaborative meeting with the citywide optimal response team and our community service providers.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to pay for costs, not to exceed $4000, for a collaborative meeting between city-wide optimal response teams - Office of Neighborhood Safety, Homeless Assistance Response Team (HART), Community Outreach and Stabilization Team (COAST), Community Advocacy Response Team (CARE) and community service providers on March 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, this will pay for all costs incurred by the Fire Department to provide light refreshments for this meeting; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these expenses will be paid from the Pohlad Family Foundation Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the expenditure of money for these costs for the Fire Department meeting is an opportunity for all involved parties to get together to have a listening session, open table discussion, think tank, and planning meeting to establish trust and bring a strong collaboration of ideas so that all parties can better understand what is needed to strengthen these relationships moving forward; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds not to exceed $400 for the Fire Department collaborative meeting.
