Authorizing the Police Department to accept a gift from the Saint Paul Police Foundation.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Foundation would like to donate $57,000.00 from the 2020 Gala to the Saint Paul Police Department for our LECPA program; and
WHEREAS, the SPPD would like to accept these generous donations from the Saint Paul Police Foundation for which the public purpose is for our LECPA program; and
WHEREAS, the 2021 special fund budget and activity budget need to be amended for this donation from the Saint Paul Police Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $57,000.00 in the Special Fund; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this generous donation and extend its sincere thanks to the Saint Paul Police Foundation.
