Amending the financing and spending plans in the Police Department grant fund in the amount of $266,294 for the Pathway to Policing, National Forensic Sciences Improvement, and Grotto Foundation grants.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has accepted the Pathway to Policing Reimbursement Grant 2019 from the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety (RES 19-410); and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has accepted the National Forensic Sciences Improvement 2019 grant from the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety through the funding of the U.S. Office of Justice Programs (RES 19-430); and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department applied and was awarded a grant from the Grotto Foundation (RES 19-175) and the Police Department will like to accept the award; and
WHEREAS, the 2019 financing and spending plan needs to be amended and activity budget added for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $266,294 in excess of those estimated in the 2019 budget and recommends the following changes; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves these changes to the 2019 budget and accepts the grant award from the Grotto Foundation.
