Authorizing the Police Department to accept the donation from the Target Corporation for the department's crime prevention/community programs in 2018.
Body
WHEREAS, in recognition of the “difference the Saint Paul Police Department makes and the impact it has on the community”, the Target Corporation has awarded $7,000 to support the Saint Paul Police Department’s crime prevention/community programs in 2018; and
WHEREAS, the 2018 financing and spending plan needs to be amended and Activity budget added for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $7,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 budget and recommends the following addition; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this donation and extends it sincere thanks to the Target Corporation; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes changes to the grant budget as detailed in the attached financial analysis.
