Appeal of Victoria Downey to a Correction Notice at 865 HOWELL STREET NORTH.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, January 30, 2018, 11:00 a.m.

Purpose of Appeal:   The fence in question has been in place since before I purchased the home in April 2013, and based on the discoloration of the wood even at that time, I suspect it was in place for much longer than that.  Additionally, the fence that exceeds 6'6" is to obscure a site line to the industrial area to the west, and therefore should be approved for a variance.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:   no photos -rrn.  There are photos in the appeal itself.  Do these cover what inspectors want to be seen??  Also, the order indicates a fence permit should be submitted, but I think since the fence is constructed, we'll deal with what we have and keep an open line of communication with Steve Ubl. -MM

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Victoria Downey to a Correction Notice at 865 HOWELL STREET NORTH, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
