Requesting City officials to promulgate and approve the list of eligible organizations for the 2018 Charitable Gambling 10% Club.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 409.235 establishes a list of recipients eligible for distribution of proceeds contributed by charitable gambling in on-sale liquor establishments, and the list of such recipients is promulgated annually by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been charged with administration of the application process in the absence of a city-wide Charitable Gambling Eligible Recipient advisory board; and
WHEREAS; staff reviewed applications to confirm eligibility, and to recommend additional organizations to the eligible recipients list for the 10% Club for 2018 and submitted the list to the city council for approval; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the following organization are eligible organizations for distribution of the proceeds contributed by charitable gambling in on-sale liquor establishments for 2018.
