Correcting reimbursement eligibility dates for 2014 Cultural STAR Grant awards to the Saint Paul Public Library and Public Art Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, on May 28, 2014 via RES 14-890, a Cultural STAR grant of $181,657 to purchase library materials was awarded to the Public Library of Saint Paul; and a Cultural STAR grant of $15,000 to support public art ordinance administration was awarded to Public Art Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, these two grants were approved to provide much needed and timely public services and that expenditures related to these services began shortly after the beginning of the year;
BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intent of the Mayor and the Saint Paul City Council to adjust the reimbursement requirements of these Cultural STAR Program grants to allow reimbursement of expenses incurred after 01/01/2014; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon approval of the Mayor and Saint Paul City Council, staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development are authorized and directed to execute the necessary modified grant documents to implement this Resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney.
