WHEREAS on April 2, 2003, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File 03-350, said resolution being the ratification of assessment for the grading and paving of alleys in Block 14, Hayden Heights (bounded by Ivy, Furness Parkway, Clear and Ruth) and Block 14, Summit Park Addition (bounded by Osceola, Avon, Fairmount and Victoria). (File No. 18944, Assmt No. 005023); and
WHEREAS, the property at 1979 Ivy Avenue East, being described as: Hayden Heights Lot 18, Block 14, with the property identification number 23-29-22-31-0054, was assessed an amount of $2,063.25 for the alley improvement; and
WHEREAS, the improvement was to a portion of the alley, the assessment should have been $773.72; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services staff recommends reducing the assessment and refunding the property owner; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $1,289.53 be refunded by the Department of Public Works and the assessment is hereby amended to reflect this change.
