Approving the City's expenditure of funds to provide restitution to certain workers who were not paid the required prevailing wage.
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to 82.07 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, certain contractors with the City are required to pay their workers Prevailing Wages as specified in the terms of their contract with the City, and,
WHEREAS, Danner, Inc., et. al., failed to pay seven workers prevailing wages as required by their contract with the City for the Davern-Jefferson Phase II contract, and,
WHEREAS, HREEO, pursuant to 82.07(d), has withheld $62,979.18 of funds payable under this contract as a liquidated damages penalty, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the payment of restitution to these seven workers a total of $11,010.78 to be paid from the withheld funds in amounts listed on Addendum A of this resolution.
