Amending the financing and spending plans in the 2012 Capital Improvement Budget of the Department of Parks and Recreation, for STAR grant funds in the amount of $24,533 received for the Payne Maryland Security Camera project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to install security cameras at the Payne Maryland Recreation Center/Library site; and
WHEREAS, STAR funds in the amount of $24,533.00 have been allocated for this project; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution #12-513, adopted March 14, 2012, the Department of Parks and Recreation will administer STAR Project "Payne Maryland Recreation Center/Library Security Cameras," and
WHEREAS, security cameras will provide for much needed capital improvements that will enhance the safety of patrons using our facilities; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to establish a financing and spending budget for installation of security cameras at the Payne Maryland Recreation Center/Library project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $24,533.00 in excess of those estimated in the 2012 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $24,533.00 is available for appropriation in the 2012 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2012 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby amended.
