WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Birgir Hardee to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 598 THOMAS AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal on the window in Unit 1 measuring 26 high by 20 wide because the window exits into an enclosed porch; and deny the appeal and grant an extension to July 1, 2012 for Items 1 (peeling paint), 2 (exterior sidewalks, walkways and stairs) and 11 (permits for all remodel work, plumbing, electrical and building permits); and
WHEREAS,if the front porch is converted from an enclosed porch to an open porch to meet exiting requirements, the front door of the porch shall remain unlocked; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
