Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $45,000 to recognize increased funding for shore land and wetland restoration projects, and authorizing the appropriate City Officials to solicit and accept this funding from the Ramsey Conservation District, the Capitol Region Watershed District and the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District.
Body
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has received and is seeking permission to accept cost share funding and matching funds of up to $45,000 from the Ramsey Conservation District, the Capitol Region Watershed District and the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has identified projects that meet the funding criteria along the Lake Como shoreline and the Phalen wetland; and
WHEREAS, the identified projects include erosion and sediment control, shoreline and wetland restoration, and best management practices for storm water; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to increase the 2011 Budget in the Environmental activity (33196) by $45,000 to reflect the increased revenue made available through this funding and the increased spending plan for the additional expenditures relating to this available funding; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $45,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 Grant and Aid Budget; now therefore be it
 
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that Parks and Recreation has permission to accept this funding and that $45,000 is available for appropriation in the 2011 Environmental Special Fund Budget, and said 2011 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended as indicated on the attached financial analysis form.
