Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept donations for the 2017 Citywide Spring Cleanup event.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation, in coordination with the Department of Public Works, will be holding the annual Citywide Spring Cleanup event on April 22nd, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the event is in partnership with the City’s Come Clean! program, that works in cooperation with local District Councils and with engaged community members who volunteer to help keep the City clean; and
WHEREAS, local businesses have offered to donate food and other items for the event, which encourages volunteering; and
WHEREAS, the Department has received coupon books from Chinook Book, donuts from SuperMom’s bakery, bagels from Saint Paul Bagelry, and coffee and cups from Peace Coffee; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts these donations for the 2017 Citywide Spring Cleanup event and thanks Chinook Books, SuperMom's bakery, Saint Paul Bagelry, and Peace Coffee for their generous gifts.
